I joined DHFL Pramerica in February 2008 as AVP & Financial Controller in the Corporate Office in the Finance Department I was the second employee in the department along with the CFO. Over the next 6 months, my CFO and I set up the function, from recruiting other members, to putting together the financial systems and processes. In 2012, my role was expanded to include taxation as well. In 6 years and after two promotions, I was recently appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company and I am a part of the leadership team at DHFL Pramerica.
I am an early morning person and am usually in office by 8.30 am. After going through important mails and business news for the day, I like to prioritize my most important work for the morning as it is the most productive time of the day for me. No one day is similar to other day but usually what’s consistent is the pace of work in the morning.
Afternoons are reserved for meetings, both internal and external. It is also the time when I catch up on paperwork and financial approval requests.
Evenings are usually spent with my team, reviewing progress made in the day, making an action plan for the coming day and week. From time to time, as a team we celebrate our achievements, small or big, by taking a short break in the evenings.
